These terms are the agreement between you and Henfish LLC (“LoveLore”, “we”, “us”) for using LoveLore — the website at lovelore.app and the private sites people create on it. By creating an account, accepting an invite, or using LoveLore, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use LoveLore.
1. What LoveLore is
LoveLore lets you create private sites — a Love Story (for a partner), a Family Album (for a child or family) or a Pet Album — add photos, moments, letters and other content, and invite specific people to see them. Sites are not public: only people invited by a site's admins can view them.
2. Who can use LoveLore
- You must be at least 18 to create a site or be a site admin.
- People invited to view a site must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use LoveLore.
- You must give accurate information and use only your own account.
3. Your account
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- Invite links work once and expire. Only send them to the person they're meant for — anyone who opens an unused link can join the site with the role it grants.
4. Sites, admins and viewers
- Admins can edit a site, upload and delete content, invite people, change their roles and remove them. Whoever creates a site is its first admin.
- Contributors can see a site and add photos to it; their photos appear right away.
- Guests can share photos through an upload link or QR code an admin creates for an event, without an account. They can't see the site; depending on the admin's settings, their photos may wait for approval, and other guests may see approved photos shared through the same link. Guests agree to these terms by sharing.
- Viewers can see a site and, depending on its style, take part — for example write a letter in a Family Album or choose gifts in a Love Story.
- Admins decide who is invited and are responsible for their site's content and membership. Anyone who can view a site can see what's on it and could save or share it outside LoveLore — invite only people you trust.
- A sealed letter can't be opened by other members of the site (including admins) until its date. Sealing is a privacy feature, not a guarantee of secrecy; see our Privacy Policy for when our team may access content.
5. Your content
You own the photos, text and other content you add (“your content”). To run LoveLore, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, process (for example resize photos and remove location data), and display your content only to the people who have access to the site, and only for as long as it's on LoveLore (plus the backup period described in the Privacy Policy). We don't use your content for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't make it public.
By adding content, you confirm that:
- you own it or have permission to add it;
- the people shown in it (or, for children, their parents or guardians) are okay with it being shared with the people on that site; and
- it doesn't break these terms or the law.
Music. Only upload songs you have the right to use this way — for example music you bought for your own use, your own recordings, or tracks licensed for personal projects — played privately to the people on your site.
6. Photos of children
Family Albums are made for families to share photos of children privately. Only parents, legal guardians, or people with their permission should create an album about a child or add photos of one. If you're a parent or guardian and want a photo of your child removed from a site you don't control, contact us at [email protected] and we'll help.
7. What you must not do
- Upload anything illegal, including any content that sexualizes or exploits minors. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement, and remove it immediately.
- Share intimate images of anyone without their consent.
- Harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or share someone's private information without permission.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.
- Upload malware, or try to access sites, accounts or data you weren't invited to.
- Probe, scan, overload or interfere with LoveLore, or get around its limits or security.
- Use LoveLore to run a public website, advertise, send spam, or resell the service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts and sites that break these rules, and we may do so without notice when we need to protect people or comply with the law.
8. Reporting a problem
To report content that breaks these terms, use Report a problem (or Report under any photo). Reports go only to our team, never to the site's admins or the person who posted. For an account you think has been compromised, a security issue, or anything else, email [email protected].
We review reports as quickly as we can, urgent ones first. We may hide content while we review it, remove content or sites, or suspend accounts that break these terms. Where the law requires it — for example child sexual abuse material — we preserve the content and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
9. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on LoveLore infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with: your contact details; a description of the work; the site address and where the content appears; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you're the owner or authorized to act for them; and your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act and may remove the content and, for repeat infringers, close accounts.
10. Plans, storage and payments
- Every account gets 2.0 GB of storage free, shared by the sites it owns (sites shared with you don't count). Up to 10 people can join each site on the Free plan. When storage is full, new uploads pause — nothing you've added is deleted.
- Paid plans (Plus and Family, monthly or yearly, at the price shown when you subscribe) add storage and people. Extra storage can be added in 100 GB blocks on any plan, billed the same way. If we change a price, you keep the price you signed up at unless we tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If you cancel or downgrade, everything stays viewable, but new uploads pause while you're over the smaller allowance. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Features and limits may change while LoveLore is in early access.
11. Prints and keepsakes
- Anyone on a site can order prints and keepsakes (prints, framed prints, canvases, shadow boxes and photo books) made from its photos, on any plan. Prices, shipping costs and estimated shipping times are shown before you pay; sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Payment is taken by Stripe when you place the order. We currently ship within the United States only.
- You must have the right to print the photos you order (see section 5). We may cancel and refund an order we reasonably believe breaks these terms or the law.
- Items are made by a print partner or by us, from the full-resolution photo. We show a quality guide before you order; a photo that was small or blurry to begin with will look that way in print, and that isn't a defect. Colors on paper may differ a little from your screen.
- Everything is made to order, so we can't accept returns for a change of mind. If an item arrives damaged, defective or not what you ordered, email [email protected] within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem, and we'll remake it or refund you. You can cancel for a full refund until we start making the item.
- Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the item to the address you gave. If a package is lost in transit, contact us and we'll help — we'll work with the carrier and, where it's truly lost, send a replacement.
- Nothing in this section limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can't be waived.
12. Keeping and deleting content
- Admins can delete photos, moments and other content at any time. Deleted photos are removed from storage.
- You can leave a site you were invited to at any time from your dashboard.
- A site's owner can delete the whole site in Studio → Settings. You can delete your account in Account settings: before you confirm, it shows exactly what happens — sites where you're the only admin are deleted with everything in them; sites with another admin are kept and handed to them; letters you wrote are deleted, and photos you added to sites that are kept stay there. Records of paid orders are kept as the law requires.
- A site under review after a report can't be deleted until the review is finished.
- Deleted data may remain in backups for a limited time, as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Ending use of LoveLore
You can stop using LoveLore at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering LoveLore. If we decide to shut down the service, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice where possible, so you can save your photos. Sections 5 (license, until your content is deleted), 11 (for orders already placed), 14, 15, 16 and 18 continue after your access ends.
14. No warranties
LoveLore is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it running and your content safe, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that content will never be lost. Keep your own copies of photos and anything else that matters to you. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Henfish LLC and its owners, employees and suppliers won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of LoveLore. Our total liability for any claim related to LoveLore is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
16. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you added or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent allowed by law.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you on LoveLore (and by email once we send email) before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using LoveLore after a change means you accept the new terms.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
