Where the tree lives
The tree belongs to your family and is built in a Family Album: Studio → Family. A Love Story or a Pet Album hangs on the tree but is never the way into it — so sharing your family never means sharing your love story. If you started a tree in a love story, its Studio → Family offers to move it to your Family Album.
Adding people
- Tap a card to add someone next to it: a parent, a brother or sister, a partner, a child.
- Add a birthday as a full date — or just the year if that's all you know.
- You never type “aunt” or “cousin”: LoveLore works it out, and each person sees the tree from where they are.
- Already have a tree on Ancestry, FamilySearch or MyHeritage? Download it as a GEDCOM (.ged) file and import it at the bottom of Studio → Family. You can export yours the same way.
Couples
Tap the ♥ between two people to mark them together, separated or divorced. Separated and divorced couples show with a dashed line.
People who've passed
Tick Passed away on their card — with a year if you know it. Their card shows gently, in softer colors, and birthday reminders stop.
Reading a big tree
Pink and blue edges mark women and men; your own line is highlighted. Big families fold into one card — “9 brothers and sisters” — until you open them. Use Fit, Me and full screen at the top of the tree, or switch to One person to see just someone's closest family.
